Quest Camp Counselors are unique because they all have demonstrated a dedication to improving the lives of children. All Quest Counselors must be either attending, or have graduated from, college and we often look to staff applicants who have – at the minimum – completed their sophomore year of college. Staff members are hired based on their personal qualities, experience with children, and their college education.
All counselors are subject to background checks and must comply with American Camping Association standards.
Many Quest Counselors are studying/have studied psychology and/or child development and several of our counselors have gone on to careers in psychology, counseling, and education.
If you are interested in applying to work at a Quest Camp in SF East Bay or Pittsburgh, you will need to complete the following application. If you are applying for the Huntington Beach camp location you will need to complete both the staff application and the staff waiver. We typically begin reviewing applications for summer camp counselors the January before camp starts. For qualified graduate students, professional supervised internship hours are available.
