Our campers’ parents receive directions and techniques to integrate Quest strategies at home. Through bi-monthly evening parent meetings, parents receive written and verbal evaluations of their child’s progress and are given the opportunity to discuss personal needs.
Quest welcomes feedback from our campers' parents. At the conclusion of summer camp we ask parents to complete a survey rating our program. Quest parents have consistently reported noticeable change in their child’s ability to understand and solve problems.
Parent Involvement Summer program
Parent involvement in the Quest therapeutic program is essential.
During the summer, parents meet in a group with counselors and
therapists to review their child's progress, understand Quest
strategies and integrate recommendations based on the staff's
experience. Meetings are held every other Thursday evening from
7:00-8:30 pm at the administrative offices in San Ramon.
Home Goals and Points
With the coordination between home and camp essential, parents are
urged to use the Quest Camp Parent Point sheet to identify specific
goals and assign points on a daily basis. During the summer, these
points are sent to camp every Thursday to be used with camp points at
the Quest Store.
Afterschool program
Since the Afterschool sessions are once a week, parent meetings occur
every five weeks. Evening meetings are held in Oakland on Mondays,
after camp from 7:30-9:00 pm and in San Ramon from 7:00-8:30 pm on
Wednesdays for our Alamo program.
