Aprilynn Artz, LPC is the director of Quest summer therapeutic program. She has overseen the Quest program since its inception in Pittsburgh during the summer of 2011. April has a private counseling and consultation practice; Connection Counseling & Consultation Inc. and provides school based consultation services to Hillel Academy, Community Day School, Yeshiva Schools, and the JCC’s early childhood program through JFCS during the school year.

April is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who has been working with children and their families since 2001 in varying capacities. She worked in the wraparound (BHRS) field for over 6 years as a Therapeutic Staff Support, Behavior Specialist Consultant and Mobile Therapist, and through that work, learned a tremendous amount about how to support to children in their homes, schools, and communities. She has several years of experience related to designing curriculum for, and running, play-based and therapeutic social skills groups for children on the autism spectrum at both Pressley Ridge and The Watson Institute. April also previously worked at WPIC's Merck Outpatient clinic where she provided individual and group therapy to youth with autism and other developmental needs.

April is a nationally board certified (NCC) and licensed professional counselor (LPC) who earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University.
